Film Editor | Creative Producer


Sanyukta Kaza is a film editor known to bring her critical thinking and precision to contemporary Indian content, consistently challenging the traditions of the craft to bring narratives to light for modern audiences.

Sanyukta is  the editor and creative producer of the contemporary cult classic, Tumbbad(2018) which was the first Indian film to ever open Venice’s International Critics Week. Her first feature film Ship of Theseus(2012) won the National Award for Best Film and was selected as one of the ’15 life-changing films of all time’ chosen by the British Film Institute to celebrate their 100th anniversary alongside the likes of Battle of Algiers, Raging Bull, and 400 Blows. She has received critical acclaim for her work as a solo editor on the Amazon original series, Amazon original series Pataal Lok(2020)Her other works include  Netflix original series Missmatched(2020), Abhishek Chaubey’s Madhyantar(2021), Avinash Arun’s Vishanu(202l),  Love per square foot , Band Bajaa Baarat,   Three of us,  Jugaadistaan and 251 

Aside all this , She edited  a Netflix original documentary, My Love(2021), which won at IDA best episodic documentary series 2022, MasterChef ( Ritesh Batra) which opened at Sundance ( 2014) supported by the Bill & Melinda foundation, Chamki ( Anand Gandhi )which won Cannes bronze( 2013), Radhika Apte’s Sleepwalkers which won at Palm Springs (2020)

Her films have traveled to various festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Sundance, Toronto, Sitges, Screamfest, Sitges film festival, Fantastic Fest,  Palm Springs, Tokyo international festival, Asian film awards to name a fewSanyukta has been nominated for all popular Indian film awards including the Filmfare Awards, Screen Awards, and Zee Cine Awards. Sanyukta Kaza  is a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A)  from Chapman University ( Calfornia, USA) with a focus on EDITING .
